Mary Travers passed away on September 16th. After successful recovery from leukemia through a bone marrow/stem cell transplant, Mary succumbed to the side effects of one of the chemotherapy treatments. We all loved her deeply and will miss her beyond words.

Thanks, M'Dear, for the life, the work, keeping "the boys" in line, the passion for everybody else. You made this planet a better place.
Rest now.

I was first introduced to your music when I was ten-years-old and my brother gave me the Moving album. Afterwards, I bought every album as soon as it was released. Your beautiful voice, strength, and vision eventually led me to fight for human rights issues. I will miss you so much!

I have been listening to the groups music for over thirty years. I have learned so much from them It is hard to imagine what the world would be like if not for Mary Travers. To all her family and friends you have my deepest condolences.

I grew up with you and your wonderful ideas. You will never be forgotten. For you were the voice of a generation and those that have listen have been better for it. We all loved you.

Dear Travers family and friends,
This remarkable and immensely talented woman will be sorely missed. I can't fathom that there will be no more Peter, Paul & Mary concerts on PBS to delight in and sing along with!

"Where have all the flowers gone, long time passing" One of the most fragrant has gone on to her hereafter and I know she is still singing...

Mary, I lost my brother to leukemia in 2000. He was an artist...sculptor. I picture your spirits joining to promote peace and wipe out injustice. Thank you for inspiring so many people with your amazing voice and songs.

Jean-Claude

I grew up in a family that did not practice religion, but I learned much about the Christian life through your songs. Thank you for sharing your talents and truth.

Mary is one of my strong female role models. As a jr high-high school girl growing up with a guitar in one hand and a creative spirit in the other during the late 60s and early 70s, I looked to Mary as a way I wanted to be in the world. I have loved and -- subconsciously and consciously -- patterned my own singing and guitar playing style after Mary, Peter, and Noel Paul. Thank you so much.
